Help me get an iphone

so I have a new computer, and my iphone account/apps and songs are on the old one. I’ve got to get everything onto the new computer, so how do I do that without having to get every single app and song on the new computer manually?

great question.

Easy:

1. Go to www.apple.com/itunes and download and install the latest version of itunes.

VERY IMPORTANT… unless you have backed all your music up, you must get all the music from it to your pc.
Try sharepod. It is a free utility that should help you:

After you have gotten the music from your iphone to the PC you can use itunes to import them… Trust me, if you just sync the iphone to the new pc you will lose your music!

2. After installing, open itunes and make sure that you set up your itunes store account. This is the same account you used to buy all your apps.

3. Connect your iphone to the PC. itunes will recognize it and ask if you want to sync. It will then transfter the apps you have already purchased that are on the phone to the pc. Since you backed up all your music a few steps ago, it will not effect you because they are already in itunes. All your contacts etc will be synced as well

that should be it!
see, itunes will let you sync back purchased apps etc but not music. it assumes you are a music pirate if the music on the phone is not 100% itunes purchased music. .most people do not buy all music from itunes.
Thats why we needed to save your music first before we synced the phone with itunes.
